Recent Flicks

I must have a thing for men in tights!! Nacho was hilarious and I highly recommend it. Jared and Jerusha Hess, who also wrote Napoleon Dynamite (another fave) have done it again. And they couldn't go wrong with Jack Black. You can't take your eyes off of the screen for a moment or you'll miss one of his trademark facial expressions. And that accent. I saw this over a week ago and I still giggle when I recall certain lines from the movie.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a comic book/fantasy/sci-fi fan by any means and I wasn't expecting much going into this movie. Honestly, I didn't even remember the Superman movie from my childhood (with Christopher Reeve). Brandon Routh was incredible and the special effects - it's amazing to think how far special effects have come. Sometimes I watch old movies like Jaws and think, how could we have been scared by that??? It's so unrealistic. It's hard to imagine what more they can do. I thought Kevin Spacey did a respectable job as Lex Luthor. All in all, a great summer blockbuster must-see.
